Der erste Reisetag hat ganz beschaulich angefangen: Kurzer Schwumm im See und dann ein kurzes Velotüürli nach Sachseln, um nochmals frisches Brot mit Konfi zu geniessen. Um die Mittagszeit heisst es dann wirklich aufbrechen. Wie oft in solchen Momenten hab ich ein seltsames
Gefühl: Ich freue mich auf die bevorstehende Reise, doch möchte ich andererseits gar nicht abreisen. Wir alle wohnen an einem der schönsten Orte der Welt. Tja, fast ein Dilemma ;)
Die zwei Gesichter links und rechts von uns sind übrigens Matthias und Maria, gute Freunde aus dem Kanton Bern und in Bezug auf Reisen in die USA ebenfalls Routiniers. Gemeinsam reisen wir bis Seattle, dann trennen sich unsere Wege vorerst. Aber dazu später etwas mehr.

The first day of our travel started easy: a short swim in the lake, a short bicycle tour to have breakfast, and after lunchtime we said: ready steady go! As always in this situation I have a really strange feeling. I'm looking forward to the upcoming travel, but on the other side I don't want to leave. We all live at one of the most beautiful places in the world. So, it's a dilemma ....
The two faces to the left and to the right are Matthias and Maria, our two friends living in the canton of Berne. And they are big routiniers travelling to the US, too. Together we travel from Zurich over Frankfurt to Seattle, but our ways from there aren't the same. This story will have a follow-up.
